"Nothing in the world of publishing is what it was just a few years ago. Many, many writers at all different stages of their careers are still either unaware of this, or are banking on everything getting back to normal any day now.
It won't.
My wish for writers everywhere is that they will write with love and dedication, educate themselves about the realities of publishing, and be aware of how the rapidly-changing environment of their profession affects their career paths.
With Occupy Publishing, we hope to be raising awareness, communicating news, and informing anyone who'll listen about the opportunities and realities of publishing in the 21st century.
